![]() This is a very manual process and there are programs that will take care of this swapping dvd's and filling them for you. Burn it and then proceed to mount another dvd, continue to copy photos, from where I left off, burn and so forth until I have all the photos on a dvd. I would do this by temporarily moving all the photos out of this folder, drag it to the disk image on the desktop, (you can then move the photos back into the original iPhoto Library folder) and then drag however many pictures will fit onto the remainder of this 1st dvd. What I would do is copy the "iPhoto Library" folder with whatever you are able to fit onto the 1st dvd. ![]() Is there any way to do it in Tiger? or iPhoto itself? I assume that the "Share" function will just export I would like to make a hard DVD backup of a large iPhoto libraryįile. When you have all that you wish on the disk icon, eject the disk by either highlighting it and hitting command+E or dragging the disk icon to the trash (you will note that it will turn into a burn symbol) Name your dvd and burn away. If you only want to back the pictures you can open the iPhoto Library folder and just drag the folders (listed in years) that you wish. This will copy your entire iphoto library with all your iphoto settings such as rolls, albums, books etc. You can then drag your "iPhoto Library" folder (that should be in your pictures folder (which is in your user name)) onto the disk icon. This will create a disk icon on your desktop. ![]() Insert a blank dvd into your computer and your mac will ask you what action you want to do. Leicaman, you can always do a simple drag and drop burn in the finder.
